Admission Information

Regular Admission: This is for a family who is considering a variety of preschool options. Your application will be entered on a lottery basis when there are more applicants than positions available. Student names are drawn one by one to fill the class. We balance each class by gender, so a separate lottery is held and one waitlist kept for boys and one for girls. Wait-lists remain active throughout the school year. This application is due February 5, 2021. Families will be notified of their enrollment by the 2nd or 3rd week of February. We will continue to accept applications throughout the spring and summer. Families are encouraged to apply past the application deadline.

Early Decision: This is for a family who considers LPCNS their top choice for preschool. Applying early decision gives your family the opportunity to enroll without entering our traditional lottery. This application is due January 22, 2021, ahead of our regular application due date. Early decision families will be notified of their enrollment the last week of January and a non-refundable deposit is required within 72 hours of that notice.

Tour Information
Tours are required for all families new to school.

Prospective parents will have the opportunity to meet a parent of a current student, learn about the history of the school, and what it means to be a member of a school cooperative. Tours last about an hour and will be conducted virtually this year. To support continued interest in the school we have added two spring tour dates: March 24th and April TBD.

To find out more or register for a tour, please contact our Membership Committee: membership@lincolnparkcoop.org
Lottery Information
Students new to the school will be admitted on a lottery basis when there are more applicants than positions available. Lincoln Park Co-op's lottery system for student selection has been a hallmark of our school since the beginning. The lottery system, along with a strong Financial Aid system, results in a pool of diverse and talented families committed to our school and our mission.

Admission into all programs provides families with membership in the cooperative, in addition to priority for enrollment for returning students and siblings. Children of former students also receive priority status for enrollment.

Student names are drawn one by one to fill the class. We balance each class by gender, so a separate lottery is held and one waitlist kept for boys and for girls. Wait-lists remain active throughout the school year.
