A Tradition of Support and Service
Throughout our school history, we have been humbled by the dedication of parents who step up and offer their leadership, talents and time to our school.
Lincoln Park Co-op is led by a board of directors; each director is a parent of a child currently enrolled in the school. The board of directors is made up of traditional officer roles and the chairs of the various committees. The Director of the school is a non-voting member of the board and is hired by the board to direct the day-to-day operations of the school. Parents volunteer for these roles because they desire to help guide the school's yearly operations as well as the opportunity to play a bigger role in decision-making, fundraising, event-planning, school publications, building maintenance, and much more.
In addition to the board of directors, a board of trustees serves in an advisory role. The trustees are parents of former students, ranging from recent Co-op alumni to students now in college. They offer their support to the board of directors and school director, participate in long-term strategic planning for the school, and support fundraising goals.
